Garage Sale
Written and directed by Meaghin Burke, with Matthew Graves serving as Director of Photography, Garage Sale tells the story of a woman helping to sell her father’s possessions in a yard sale before he his able to move in with her and her family. Through the story we discover that her sister passed away three years ago and the father refused to change anything in her room from when she left to join the military. The father struggles to part ways with objects that hold sentimental value to him, but referred to as junk by his other daughter.
Garage Sale is a beautifully done film with a great story that families sometimes must share. When a parent suffers the lost of a child it can have traumatic effects on and damage other relationships. This film explores the aftermath and still finds a way to end on a happy note.
