Thomas Jackson Live at Jack’s by The Tracks

Thomas Jackson is a man of many talents, but the one he has become recognized for is his Americana style music. With a repertoire that spans over twenty years playing music and enough touring to have made a name for himself, Thomas is a local favorite at Pascagoula’s most prominent juke joint, Jack’s by the Tracks. Thomas’s set includes many songs from his first album, Bridge Burner, as well as a few from an unreleased album he hopes to debut later this year. During his break he took the time to step outside under the neon glow of the Jack’s sign and tell us more about growing up and playing music.

The music featured during the interview includes “Devices” a song he wrote metaphorically detailing the early relationship when he and his wife first started dating.

As mentioned in the interview, during the time he spent in New York City Thomas wrote the song, “How I Won The War” to bring back to Mississippi.

Outside of music Thomas Jackson is very passionate his graphic arts. Prints of his many works can be found at his gigs and various art festivals throughout the year.
