Demorian Lizana

Bio

Demorian Lizana, native of Pass Christian, MS has been entertaining most of his life.  As a self proclaimed “class clown” at Pass Christian High School, one afternoon he was held after class by his Drama teacher Mrs. Leyser and asked to join the Intro to Theatre class.  He quickly declined to which she retorted “Well you don’t have a problem acting a fool in class”.  Needless to say I began the following semester as an Intro to Theatre student. He began to notice that his presence in front of an audience was profound.  He engaged audiences and delivered punch lines as if I had been doing this his entire life. He continued for two years learning basic fundamentals.   He graduated May of 2000 where he was the first student/African American from Pass Christian High School to be awarded a scholarship for Theatre Arts as a member of “Perk Players” at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.   During his tenure at MGCCC he fine tuned his craft under the direction of Mrs. Catherine Lewis and Mr. Charles Bosworth.
While at MGCCC, he bonded with three of the most talented brothers who share the passion for entertainment: Brandon Battle, Noland “JoJo” Smith and David Earl Chapman Jr. Following Junior College, he decided to relocate to Los Angeles, California to pursue a professional acting career. He resided in South Central Los Angeles (LA) and enrolled in the “school of hard knocks”. He gained very valuable experience in the film industry while auditioning and doing background work on major network TV shows movies and commercials. While in LA he became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) one of his most cherished accomplishments.

After living and working in LA for two years, he made the difficult decision to move back home. Although he left LA, he held fast to his dream.  He auditioned and secured an agent in New Orleans, Del Corral Agency (He’s currently signed to KTA Talent Group).  He booked his first speaking roles on Hurricane Season, the Saints of Mt. Christopher and HBOs acclaimed series Treme. He also directed/co-produced a stage play “Mischief in Paradise” written by his long time Friend Kevin Woods Jr. His most recent film endeavors include: co-Producer of feature film “Before You Can Blink”, “CopAholic” and latest film to debut “My Life for Yours” with his “brother from another mother” Matondo Kiantandu.    Proudly, all of the aforementioned films have distribution.
