What really sets a St. Louis style pizza apart from others is that the dough is made without yeast, resulting in a thin cracker-like crust vs a Chicago deep dish or even a New York with is already considered thin. St. Louis style pizzas are typically cut into squares instead of slices to better support the toppings, this is known as a party or tavern cut.
